We The People have been simmering long enough. As in the parable, it’s long past time that we jump to safety. The overwhelming challenges of the day, including Covid, weather disasters, Afghanistan lessons and the constant of dysfunctional government, are too much to tolerate without some constructive response. Come join me to consider some possibilities. Let’s jump…TOGETHER!

We Americans have been on a collision course with many inconvenient truths, and I see the month of August as the perfect storm to focus on our cumulative challenges and solutions. We can accomplish a lot by focusing on our pandemic response, and our dependence on healthier politics and a more responsive governance to deal with a multiple of issues. Again, We The People are the “they” who can best come to our rescue. This potential success is dependent on TRUTH, a better informed populace, a more civil political discourse and responsive governance. Read on and consider what we can achieve…TOGETHER.

Covid lockdowns have been a convenient excuse to hide from lots of things. Issues, people, ourselves, our community challenges, etc. However, we’re now being freed to return to abnormal, and that includes opportunities and responsibilities. No matter how hard we try, we can’t fully escape governance and politics. We’ve had an extended year to reflect on the previous 5 years of political incompetence. “Melancolie” by sculptor Albert Gyorgy…sited in Lake Geneva…
Spring has sprung, and we’ve got many reasons to be optimistic. So, why are so many of us still stressed, tired and sympathetic with this sculpture? About ourselves, relationships, governments and priorities. I certainly did. Come along on this photo travelogue of my meanderings, and put them in context with your own. Our post-Covid life should be full of discovery and opportunity, because we have choices. We’ve learned some hard lessons, but they’ve been tempered by Grace. And, in my case…humor and music…ENJOY!
