This Country is in a state of heightened anxiety as we anticipate the transfer of governance in Washington. We endured a traumatic campaign season, and most of our fellow citizens, regardless of political ideology, are anxious as we experience the potential for unprecedented change. I suggest that we focus our concerns and energies locally, where we can and should make a measurable difference. The more we strengthen our local communities the better those models can translate to State and Federal application. LET'S MOSEY!

Wow! What a year. We were blind-sided, front-sided and back-sided like never before. Or at least it seemed that way. Especially in the political arena. We had information overload, but too much bad information. We were confused and the pundits were confused. We can't "put our priority ducks in a row" until we reflect on where we are and how we got here. Wow! What a year. The campaign season brought out the worst in us. I didn't do well in math, but I understand "lowest common denominator." Anger, fear, fake news, dirty tricks, innuendo, exploitation, manipulation and other descriptives I can't use in polite society. But we now better understand the issues that led to the dramatic election results, and the communal faceslap has teed us up to rise to a better community occasion...or not. Let's choose the former. It's time to don our white hats and ride to the rescue in the New Year. But first, let's enjoy the holidays, be kind to ourselves, family and friends and hone our civility skills for the future. We've just experienced a political earthquake. And we'll be dealing with the aftershocks for weeks and months to come. The election was a painful wakeup call to remind us that there lots of folks hurting, fearful and disgusted with government. Or lack thereof. They really didn't vote for a Party or candidate. They voted for CHANGE.

This Thanksgiving provides a wonderful opportunity for constructive conversation and significant steps towards individual healing. And we each can further that goal. This Mosey Commentary may prove helpful in that regard. LET'S MOSEY!

I need to "Man Up" and extend an apology. I'd been listening to those whom I considered ill-informed political hacks at the State and National levels talking about massive voter fraud. Our Texas Governor described it as "rampant" voter fraud. Then I encountered VOTER FROG and realized that I must be mistaken. They were not that ignorant or manipulative. They meant VOTER FROG.
