Obamacare, Trumpcare. Lots of rhetoric, lots of blame, few practical solutions. Too little effective political leadership, with sufficient bipartisan blame to go around. We've got to encourage the R's and D's to work together in the public interest. We deserve better, they owe us better. And they're getting excellent healthcare while they're creating a stalemate. Trump's post-inaugural performance is somewhat gratifying to those who feared the worst, and greatly disappointing to many of his "base" who expected him to honor his campaign promises with more than mainly ineffective Executive Orders. This well-earned administrative dysfunction may give many of us the opportunity for a merciful intervention with family and friends who can't extricate themselves from this sinking ship.
