WOW! TIME FLEETETH...THEY GROW IN A HURRY...A SALUTE TO MY SON CLAYTON...

It’s hard to believe that son Clayton is moving beyond five (5) decades as he slides and glides down that highway of life. I’ve refused to grow up, but Clayton’s made many better choices than his old man. This retrospective makes me smile as I reflect on his progress. Scroll through this Facebook “Viewmaster” equivalent and indulge my fatherly pride as I share some highlights…ENJOY!

Enjoying his 1st birthday chocolate cake with his wonderful Mom Gayle…

Got him to the Colorado mountains at an early age…this taken on Bear Mtn. above Evergreen, Co…

It was imperative that he balance his outdoor interests with an appreciation of the Arts and creative expression.

Introduced him to community leaders such as U.S. Congressman J.J. “Jake” Pickle to broaden his network…

Taught him to be a great outdoorsman like his Dad…Here, learning the ancient mastery of elk whispering…

His graduation photo from his “Dress For Success” class…seeking to emulate his fashionable father…

Encouraged him to incorporate my disciplined study habits to prepare for his RE license exam.

Business/Community Leader Kerry Tate has been a wonderful mentor, friend, business associate and golfing buddy. Here, Clayton raises his feet to extricate them from the excessive BS…

Clayton’s experience and professionalism have served him and his clients well. He’s been a top Moreland Properties Realtor for many years, achieving the “Elite 25” status on several occasions…

Not all work and no play. This reception recognized Clayton, me and other patrons who donated the “WILLIE” bronze at Austin City Limits to the City.

Cora and Clayton Bullock…an amazing partnership…

Makes a Dad and Granddad proud…I AM!

AND, IN CLOSING

After a grievous family loss, I wrote our M.D. Anderson doctor/friend, “Life is short, unfair, and unpredictable. But life is good and well worth the living.” Most of you readers have had your share of of joyful occasions and major setbacks…or will. Life is like that. I’m a strong believer in gratitude…try to be constantly mindful as I “keep on choogling” down that highway of life. May the Gods of Our Understanding bless us as we strive to shine our lights in an uncertain world.
